Entry Specs

STILL IMAGE ENTRY SPECS

Images should be in the sRGB colour-space, in JPEG format and no larger than 2500px at its widest dimension.

You can name each image file as you wish, however, when the entry is successfully uploaded and logged in our on-line entry system, it will be re-saved with a new unique filename to preserve anonymity during judging.

Assuming you use colour management during handling of your image files, you should ensure the image is in the sRGB colour-space (Note: NOT AdobeRGB or anything else, as this does not display correctly in all web browsers).

360° HDRI’ Entry Specs

HDRI 360’s should be in .exr or .hdr format, full resolution, with a maximum file size of 1GB. The .exr/.hdr files should also be accompanied by a tone-mapped jpeg of the 360° HDRI no larger than 2500px at its widest dimension.(The accompanying jpeg images are for competition admin only, and will not be judged as part of your entry). The judges will be looking for technical detail and a well-captured high dynamic range.

Information on HDRI uploads and naming conventions will be published prior to the submission gateway going live. This information won’t alter the submission criteria detailed above.

ANIMATION / VIDEO ENTRY SPECS

Animations should be a minimum of 30 seconds and no longer than 180 seconds, and be submitted as follows:-

Only the following format will be accepted for judging:

  • H.264 or H.265 encoded MP4 files
  • Resolution: 1920 (width) x 1080 (Height) (HD)
  • Maximum Filesize: 2GB

Maximum length: 3 minutes. If your submission is successful, you may be required to submit an additional shorter edit of the winning entry, for screening during the presentation.

Please note – Quicktime .MOV, Flash .SWF and Windows WMV files will not be accepted, nor will .OGG or WebM encoding

VR ENTRY SPECS

VR entries should include a Vimeo or Youtube link to a 360-video of your entry that shows your entry to its full immersive potential and highlight any interactivity that you may have as part of your scene. Your video must be no longer than 5 minutes long.

VR / 360 Content: Virtual Reality Projects: Projects must be viewable via one of our accepted VR platforms (including: Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR, or Google Cardboard). We request that you provide a vimeo or Youtube link to a 360° video file (.mp4, url), app download package (.apk) – all posted on a url. Ensure that your entry shows your project to its full immersive potential and highlight any interactivity that you may have as part of your scene. Your video must be no longer than 5 minutes long.
